The Guild of Marketing team at work

Turnkey website development for business: prices and timelines

A landing page starts at $800 and takes two weeks. A platform with user accounts and built-in calculations starts at $12,000 and takes two months. The price depends on one thing: what a visitor has to do on your site. Reading about you and sending an inquiry is one job. Choosing a product, paying for it and arranging delivery is another.

Below on this page is a table of six website types with the price, the timeline and the scope of work for each. You can read it without leaving a phone number and without a sales call.

We are Guild of Marketing, an agency in Lviv, Ukraine: 13 years in business, 160+ projects delivered. We build websites and then run the traffic to them — search, Google Ads, Meta — which is why our pages are designed for acquisition channels from the first day.

If you already know which type you need, go straight to the table. If you don't, the three questions below take about thirty seconds.

Which website do you need: three questions

Answer for the business you have today, not for next year's plan. A site can always be extended later.

1. What does your customer have to do on your site?

Buy and pay online, with delivery→ online store
Browse your range and contact you→ catalog website
Send an inquiry about one offer→ landing page
Understand who you are and stop hesitating→ brochure or corporate website
Log in, calculate something, submit something→ platform

2. How many offers do you have?

One: a product, a service or a promotion→ a landing page is enough
Up to ten services or lines of business→ brochure or corporate website
A range of 50 SKUs or more→ catalog website or online store
A complex structure: several business lines, branches, dealers, documents, two languages→ corporate website or platform

3. Who will update the site after launch?

We fill it once and it barely changes after that→ a simpler admin panel, a lower price
You will, regularly→ we build easy editing in and train your team on it
Nobody by hand: products and prices are pulled from your ERP, your CRM or a supplier feed→ you need an integration, which means a catalog website, an online store or a platform

Sometimes the answers point at two neighboring types at once. Take the bigger one. Adding a new section to a finished site costs a few hundred dollars, while rebuilding a landing page into a store six months later is a new site at full price, because neither the structure nor the design carries over.

Six website types: price, timeline and who each one is not for

Prices are in US dollars and timelines are in business days. The range inside a single type depends on the number of pages and on the integrations you need.

For every type we also wrote down who it is not for. It happens often: someone comes to us for an online store and leaves with a catalog website, because it solves the same job and costs noticeably less.

Six website types: what each is for, scope, price, timeline, what is included and who it is not for
Website typeBest forScope PriceTimelineIncluded Not for you ifMore
Landing page selling one offer to paid traffic 1 page, 6–12 sections $800 – 2,500 10–15 business days design, responsive layout, inquiry forms, basic preparation for advertising you have more than one offer, or you are counting on free traffic from Google. One page ranks for one group of queries — the rest of the market will never see you.
Brochure website presenting the company and its services so that people start trusting you 5–10 pages $2,500 – 4,200 12–21 business days multi-page structure, CMS back office, a page per service, basic SEO you need to show a large product range or take payments. With 15 services or more your own pages start competing with each other in search.
Catalog website showing your range and receiving an inquiry on a specific product 10–30 pages plus product pages $3,300 – 7,500 12–35 business days category structure, product pages, filters and faceted search, import of your price list, an inquiry form on every product page your customer has to pay online and arrange delivery in one go. A catalog website has no shopping cart — inquiries only.
Corporate website a company with several business lines that gets checked before a deal 15–40 pages $3,700 – 8,000 12–21 business days a section per business line, blog or news, separate forms for separate departments, pages for documents and careers you have one product and your entire budget goes into ads. You would be paying for sections nobody opens.
Online store selling online, with a shopping cart, payments and delivery catalog, product pages, shopping cart, checkout $4,300 – 11,000 21–40 business days shopping cart, online payments, shipping calculation, order statuses, an admin panel built for order processing you have fewer than 20 SKUs and sell through messengers — a catalog website does the same job 20–30% cheaper and two to four weeks faster. A store also needs a person who works in it every day: processing orders, watching stock levels and prices. Without that person the store will not work.
Platform or web service a site people work in: accounts, calculations, roles, data defined by the specification from $12,000 from 42 business days written specification, roles and permissions, user accounts, your own calculation logic, integrations with external systems a standard CMS with plugins does the job. You order a platform when the logic is yours and there is nothing off the shelf to buy.

We fix the price in the contract as soon as the structure is agreed, and it does not grow after that. It changes only if you decide to add work, and we show you the amount before we start doing it.

What the price is made of, and what a Ukrainian agency costs per hour

The price of a website is the hours of four people multiplied by their rates. Here is one page of a website, in full:

One page of a website
Price of one page broken down by specialist
RoleRateHours per pageTotal
Designer$19/hour8$152
Developer$24/hour8$192
Copywriter$14/hour6$84
SEO specialist$24/hour2$48
Total$476

One page is $476 of work by four people. Multiply that by the number of pages, add setup, integrations and testing, and you get the same figure that stands in the table above. There is no separate markup.

These are our normal rates, not an introductory discount: $19 to $24 an hour for design, development and SEO, from a team in Lviv. Agencies in the US and Western Europe bill $80 to $150 an hour for the same four roles. The difference is the cost of an hour where we live; the hours, the seniority of the team and the scope stay the same.

If someone quotes you less, ask how many hours they budgeted for your page and who exactly is going to work those hours.

Multi-landing: every page of the site works as a landing page of its own

A pattern we see in many companies: the site goes live, and a month later the media buyer says there is nowhere to send traffic, because paid campaigns need dedicated landing pages. That means another budget, another month and another contractor.

Multi-landing is how you avoid that. It is not a seventh type of website. It is a way of building a brochure, catalog or corporate site so that you can run traffic to it from the first day.

A typical site has one Services page with a list of seven items on it. That page wins no query in Google and is not good enough for paid traffic, which is why landing pages get ordered separately later.

We do it differently: instead of one Services page we build seven. Each has its own query group, its own headline, its own proof, its own price and its own form. Each page picks up organic search and takes paid traffic at the same time, so you pay for one job instead of two.

Why we do this and a development shop does not

A development shop hands over a finished site and its job ends there. What happens to the traffic afterwards is somebody else's question.

It is different here because we are a marketing agency: after launch, the ads for this site are run by the same people who designed and wrote it. Designing pages for channels up front is in our own interest — otherwise we are the ones rebuilding them three months later.

In 13 years we have delivered more than 160 projects, and multi-landing is the thing clients ask for most often. This website is our own work as well.

AI-generated content and the EU AI Act: how we handle it

If your company operates in the EU, the content on your website is now a compliance question, not only a copywriting one.

Since 2 August 2026 the transparency rules of the EU AI Act have been in force. Certain categories of generated content — among them material on matters of public interest and content that imitates real people — must be labeled as machine-generated. Penalties reach €15 million or 3% of a company's worldwide annual turnover.

We build for that by default. When you choose AI-assisted content, the disclosure goes in at build time — in the page markup and in the CMS, where your editors can see it — so you are not rebuilding the site a year from now to meet a rule that already exists today. Our editor checks the output before it goes live: a model does not know your market and invents facts with confidence, so a person verifies every figure and every claim.

Most offshore vendors will not raise this with you before you sign. We would rather raise it now.

Where AI content is worth it and where it is not

We do use AI, and it saves real money. Where a person writes for a week, a model drafts in a few hours and our editor brings it up to standard. On a catalog of two hundred SKUs, each needing its own description, the difference in budget is substantial.

Where the text carries trust — the company page, a service description, the answers to objections a buyer actually has — we recommend writing with people. A model will produce grammatically perfect copy, but it will not ask the question your customer is really asking.

Ukraine is drafting its own AI law and aligning it with the European one, so this is not a requirement we expect to go away.

Working with us from the US, the UK or the EU

Four questions come up in the first call every time. Here are the answers before you ask.

Who owns the code

You do. On acceptance, all rights to the code, the design files and the administrator access transfer to you. There is no license fee, no hosting lock-in and no component you keep paying us for. The only case where we keep access is when you stay with us for ongoing support and want us to run the site. The domain and the hosting are paid for by you and registered in your name, for every type of website, so they are yours from day one. We build on standard WordPress or OpenCart, which means any agency can pick the project up after us.

NDA and confidentiality

We sign an NDA before you send us anything sensitive — send us yours or use ours. Product data, price lists and customer records stay inside the project.

Time zones

We work from Lviv, one hour ahead of Berlin, Vienna and Zurich, two hours ahead of London and seven hours ahead of New York. For European clients that is the same working day. For US clients our afternoon is your morning, so we can usually answer the same day. We reply by email within one business day and meet on Google Meet or Zoom. Project communication is in English, in writing, with one point of contact on our side.

Contract, payment and law

Half the amount at the start, half after the work is delivered and accepted. The price and the structure are fixed in the contract and do not change after that. We invoice in US dollars.

What every site we build includes

Everything listed below is included in the $800 landing page and in the $12,000 platform alike. This is the base scope; without it a website cannot be considered finished.

A website on a MacBook
  • A design made for you, not a purchased template
  • Responsive layout: phone, tablet, desktop
  • Admin panel and training: we show you how to add a page, change text and replace images yourself
  • Basic SEO: meta tags, heading structure, readable URLs, sitemap, indexing setup, loading speed
  • Inquiry forms delivered to your inbox
  • SSL certificate and backups
  • Testing across devices and browsers, with every link checked by hand
  • A 30-day warranty after launch: anything agreed in the contract that does not work correctly, we fix at no cost

Four choices that get paid for twice

A landing page instead of a store

"We will do a landing page and take orders in DMs." With ten products that works. At fifty, orders start getting lost in the thread and nobody can tell what is selling and what is just sitting there. Rebuilding a landing page into a store costs more than building the store in the first place, because neither the structure nor the design carries over.

A store instead of a catalog website

Not everyone needs a shopping cart, and an extra feature costs money twice. If you sell to businesses, quote on request, sell by the pallet and calculate shipping separately for each shipment, the cart will sit unused while you pay for it and for its maintenance. A catalog website with an inquiry form on every product page does the same job 20–30% cheaper and two to four weeks faster.

A brochure site when you need a corporate one

Five pages are enough while you have one line of business and one type of customer. Then three business lines appear, plus dealers, plus careers, plus documents — and all of it gets squeezed onto the About page. Google cannot tell which query to show that page for, so it shows it for none. The difference in starting price between a brochure site and a corporate one is $1,200; rebuilding the structure a year later costs as much as a new site.

A site builder when you need integrations

A site builder is a reasonable choice until you have to pull outside data into your site. The moment you need live stock levels from your ERP, orders pushed into your CRM, shipping calculated by your carrier's API and your own discount logic, you hit the ceiling of the platform. Then you pay twice: for the builder and for the website.

What you will need next, and what it costs

These items are not included in the price of the site and are quoted separately. We do them, but the time to hear about them is now, not the week before launch. That is how budgets get blown.

Copy and photography.
If you have no content ready, our copywriter writes the text and our photographer shoots the images. The cost depends on the brief and on the result you need.
Domain and hosting.
Paid for by the client, for every type of website. Registered in your name, so you stay the owner; we can select, buy and configure them for you.
Filling the catalog.
Uploading 50 products and uploading 5,000 are different jobs, so we count them in content manager hours at $10 an hour. The total depends on the volume and on the format your price list comes in.
Analytics.
Google Analytics 4 and Search Console with conversion goals on your inquiry forms: you see how many people reached the form and where they came from. Without it the site runs blind, so we recommend setting it up at launch.
CRM integration.
From $300, depending on the system and on the data that has to move.
A second language.
The cost depends on the type of site: translating a landing page and translating a 40-page corporate site are different jobs.
Promotion after launch.
SEO, Google Ads, social. A website does not generate traffic by itself — it receives the people you bring to it.
Changes after acceptance.
New pages, new features, design changes. Billed hourly or in blocks of hours.

You do not have to order any of this from us, and we work with your contractors without friction. But somebody will have to do this work, so it is better to put it in the budget at the start.

How the work runs: stages, timing and what we need from you

The timelines in the table above are our business days, and they count only while the work is on our side. While we wait for your approval the clock stops and the launch moves by exactly the same number of days. That is why the table below says what we need from you at each stage.

Stages of work: how long each one takes and what we need from the client
№StageDurationWhat we need from you
Brief and structure1–2 daysa list of your services or product groups, two or three websites you like and two or three you don't. Who your customer is and why you are better than your competitors — in your own words, no polished wording needed.
Wireframes2–4 daysapproval of the wireframes within two business days. Collect your comments into one list: five separate emails with one comment each stop the work for a week.
Design3–7 daysa vector logo, brand colors, your photography. This is the most common stalling point. If you have no photos, tell us right away and we will bring in a photographer.
Copyin parallel with designsubstance. Numbers, timelines, guarantees, real customer situations. Without them the copy comes out generic.
Front-end and development5–20 days, depending on the typenothing, this part is ours.
Content uploaddepends on the volumecontent in a usable format. Price list in a spreadsheet, product photos as separate named files.
Integrations and testing2–5 daysaccess to your CRM, payment provider and shipping service. The merchant agreement with the bank is signed by you — the bank will not issue it to us.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a website cost, and why a range instead of one price?

From $800 for a landing page; beyond that it depends on the type, and the range for each one is in the table above. The variation inside a single type is the number of pages and integrations: a five-page brochure site and a ten-page one cost differently even though the type is the same. We name the exact figure after a conversation about the structure, and from then on it stands in the contract.

Why is this so much cheaper than a US or UK agency? What is the catch?

There is no catch, and the difference is not in the scope. Four specialists work on every page, the price is fixed in the contract, the warranty is 30 days and the code is yours on acceptance. The difference is the cost of an hour where we live: a designer in Lviv bills $19 an hour, the same role in London or Chicago bills $80 to $150. What you do not get for that money is an account manager in your own time zone and an office in your city. Everything that ends up on the website, you get.

Do you build on WordPress or write from scratch?

It depends on the job. Brochure sites, catalog websites, corporate sites and most online stores are built on WordPress: you will be able to edit the site yourself, and there will always be a specialist on the market who can take it over. We write from scratch when you need logic that no off-the-shelf solution has — and that is a platform.

How does payment work?

Half at the start, half after the work is delivered and accepted. The amount is fixed in the contract together with the structure of the site and does not change after that. We invoice in US dollars.

Who owns the site, the domain and the code?

You do, all three. The domain and hosting are paid for by you and registered in your name. On acceptance, the rights to the code and the administrator access transfer to you. We keep access in one case only: if you stay with us for ongoing support and want us to run the site.

Do you sign an NDA?

Yes, before you send us anything sensitive. Send us your template or use ours.

We have no copy and no photography. What then?

That is the normal situation, and it applies to most of our clients. Our copywriter writes the text, our photographer shoots the images, and both are quoted separately from the site. What we need from you is substance: what you sell, to whom, and why you are better. The rest is our job.

Why do web projects run late, and how do you control that?

The most common cause of a slipped deadline is waiting for approvals and content from the client. So we put the timeline in business days into the contract and record separately what we need from you and when. Every stage has a date, you see the status and you know when it is your turn.

Will the site be in Google right away?

No. Basic optimization is included in the price, so the site will be technically sound, fast and readable for search engines — but positions themselves are months of separate work. If you need traffic from day one, we launch advertising together with the site and prepare the pages for it in advance. That is what multi-landing is for.

What happens after launch if something breaks?

A 30-day warranty runs from launch. Anything agreed in the contract that does not work correctly, we fix at no cost. Rebuilding a section or changing a design you already approved is new work and is billed separately. After the warranty you can run the site yourself or move it onto our support: updates, backups and small changes.
