Product discovery is the stage where an idea becomes a description you can build from. Most overspending in development is set before the first line of code: the scope is described in general terms, everyone reads it differently, and the price is called an estimate and later revised. The planning sprint closes that gap: after it you know what will be built, in what order and what it costs.
The documents are yours no matter who builds the product. If you hand the project to another team, they will work from them just as well. If we build it, here is how we do an MVP.
Who it is for
A planning sprint makes sense when you want the exact figure before ordering development and the idea still lives in a spreadsheet or in one person’s head. It is also ordered after a bad experience, when the scope and the budget kept growing mid-project. A separate case is agencies checking a request from their own client: they need a document they can take back to that client with timelines and numbers.

How the sprint runs
01.Two weeks of the sprint
In the first week we talk to you and to the people who will work in the system: we describe processes, roles and constraints and look at what gets in the way today. In the second week we write the specification, the architecture and the plan and count the hours of every specialist. The sprint ends with a handover meeting: we go through the document together, answer questions and fix the development price.
02.What we need from you
We need access to the people who know the process, whatever material exists — spreadsheets, internal rules, screenshots of the old system — and one person who makes decisions.
What it costs
The planning sprint costs $3,500 for two weeks. That amount counts towards your first development payment if you order the build from us. If after the sprint you have not received every promised document, we refund in full — just tell us within 7 days. The documents stay with you either way.

Why pay for documents if you can just start building?
You can, but then the price stays an estimate and changes along the way. A planning sprint costs about as much as one or two weeks of development and saves months of rework.
What if after the sprint I decide not to build?
The documents stay with you, and any team can work from them. We ask for no extra payment and no explanations.
Is interface design part of the sprint?
No, it is separate work that we price after planning.
How much of our time does it take?
Two or three one-hour meetings and answers to follow-up questions in chat within the working day.
We are an agency. Can you work under our brand?
Yes. We work in your task manager under your project’s name and, if needed, sign an NDA before we hear the details.
